History
Mission Viejo Christian Academy formerly Capital Christian School was founded in 1985 to minister to the local church body and the community of Santa Fe. We are dedicated to providing an academically sound Christian education for all our students. The principles in God's word provide our foundation and we acknowledge Jesus Christ as the center of all activities.
Atmosphere
We believe that the school is an extension of the home and cannot replace the fundamental responsibilities of the parents. When the school and the home work in unity, students can receive God's best training. Parent involvement is key to the success of the school. We have absolute commitment to educational excellence which will equip and challenge students to become Christ-like, productive, responsible members of society.
Additional Activities
MVCA offers the opportunity for students to participate in a variety of activities, usually wrestling, basketball, cheerleading, skiing and swimming are offered. After school clubs that have been offered include Drama,Music,Yearbook.
Curriculum and Staffing
Curriculum is prayerfully selected and Christian principles are integrated into each subject area. Biblical truths are stressed throughout the school day and the Bible is considered the foundational textbook.
Degreed teachers and well-qualified staff are employed. All teachers profess their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Theses dedicated individuals pray with and for their students and live exemplary lives before them. Our staff diligently seeks God's direction for your children and for themselves.
Accreditation
MVCA is fully accredited through the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) which is recognized by the State of New Mexico. MVCA is also fully accredited through the New Mexico State Department of Education. MVCA is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International(ACSI).It holds a Preschool/Child-care license through the Child Care Licensing and Certification Bureau of the state of New Mexico's Children, Youth, and Families Department.

Little Learners Pre-School
Mission Viejo Little Learners Pre-School is a church sponsored early childhood program for children 3 and 4 years of age. It is open weekdays, and is designed to serve families in our church and in the community. Little Learners Pre-School is licensed by the Child Care Licensing and Certification Bureau of the state of New Mexico's Children, Youth, and Families Department. Little Learners Pre-School is open Monday - Friday 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with an Aftercare program that operates each day from 12:30-5:30.
